    FamilyTree uses OAuth (Google and Facebook) only to authenticate users and simplify user account creation. We only request the minimum permissions needed to run our features:
    • Email address: We collect your primary email address to create and manage your FamilyTree Account.

    We use your Google and/or Facebook data solely to provide and improve our app features. Specifically, we:
    • Authenticate your login sessions securely without creating additional passwords.
    • We do not use your data for any other purpose than what is explicitly stated above.
  3. Data Storage and Protection
    • Storage: We store OAuth tokens securely using standard database encryption.
    • Retention: We only keep your data as long as your account remains active.
    • Revocation: : You can revoke our website's access to your Google and/or Facebook account at any time via your Google Account Security settings or Meta Account settings. You may also revoke access by using the disconnect features provided in your Family Tree social media connections settings.
  4. Compliance with Google API Policies
    Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements
